Do you have any books laying around your house? Have you ever thought of actually making some money selling these books? Most people don’t. Since books are so ubiquitous and are usually thought of as a commodity, to the layperson, a typical book has no real value and the only value gained from a book is the content and, when it is read, to let it sit on the shelf and collect dust or sit in a closet never to be looked at again until you decide to hold a yard sale.
Did you know selling these books on the Internet could be a full time income? What would you say if I told you I’m making more selling books on the Internet than I make as a full time computer consultant and OVER TWICE what my wife used to make as an administrative assistant? These books actually have value and if proper steps are taken, can lead to a hugely successful home business! Selling books over the Internet on Amazon, eBay or a number of different websites is not only financially lucrative but can give you the freedom to work from home. The only time you’d ever need to leave your home is to get more books to sell. You have no boss, no set schedule and just report to a group of people (your customers) and they’re pretty lenient most of the time.
My name is Adam Bertram and I’m a successful online bookseller that provides education to other existing online booksellers or people just wanting to start this great home business. I started out selling books online only a little over a year ago and have since been completely enthralled with making as much money as possible just doing it part time, but hopefully full time soon. As with many online booksellers, I started out just selling a few books around my house and found them to sell within a day! I was stunned that I could make some money that quickly and soon began going out and buying books for the sole purpose of selling them online and since then have started a blog at sellyourbooksonline.com that teaches others how to do the same.
If you’re not familiar with online book selling, it’s a very simple home business to get started with. If you’ve ever bought a book on the Internet you’re more than likely familiar with Amazon. Amazon.com is the biggest online book marketplace to purchase books. Have you noticed the “Used & New” section under most books that Amazon has listed on their site? This can be you! These are the other sellers that are selling their own copy of that book right alongside Amazon. This kind of exposure is what puts the average Joe’s book in front of so many people on the Internet thus giving you a great chance of getting your asking price for the book you’re selling. Amazon is the most known site for selling books and is the one I recommend getting started with but once you get the hang of this business, you can also branch out to sites like eBay, Alibris, Abebooks and other smaller sites. This will get even MORE people to see your books!
I hope that I’ve provided a good explanation of the great opportunity that exists in selling books on the Internet from home. If this home-based business piques your interest, you can always come to my blog at sellyourbooksonline.com. This is the blog where I give my insights and things I’ve learned along the way in regards to online bookselling and provide an email list and a complete ebook that outlines the entire business.
